VATICAN FOUNDATION JOSEPH RATZINGER – BENEDICTO XVI
The Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI Vatican Foundation aims to promote the study of theology and the theological/cultural discussion at the heart of modern society. It does so through a grant program for doctorate degrees in theology, as well as organizing conferences of great cultural and scientific value in partnership with various universities worldwide. Among its awards is the prestigious Ratzinger Prize, which recognizes the work of those men and women, Catholic or not, who have dedicated their scholarly lives to the gospel, making it comprehensible for their contemporaries.
It also promotes the Expanded Reason Awards with University Francisco de Vitoria, which recognize the efforts of professors and researchers to broaden the horizons of reason, through the dialogue that sciences and disciplines have with philosophy and theology.
